Check around for other sources of financing too. Depending on your credit history, there are other places that will usually beat AHFC. In late November, CapitalOne was offering 3.9%, and negotiated down to 3.7%.
If you have good credit, shop around, and see what you find. Don't be afraid to ask for a lower rate too.

the dealer offered me about 7% and i was able to negotiate it down to 3.74% with AHFC.

we always went into the dealer being pre-approved by a credit union/bank for a car loan--and the dealer has always been able to match the interest rate.
you can probably use the 3.9% to get a better rate from another lender--which you might be able to turn around and use when negotiating with the dealer.
