2nd TSX!

Well, I just leased my 2nd TSX. I now have an 07. I traded in my other lease (car had equity), the 04 and actually have a $35 less/month payment with zero out of pocket.

There is a considerable difference between the 04 & 07. I really didn't think there would be. But the engine is quite a bit different. It is a lot quieter, more torque, smooth, etc. I know there is a 5 hp difference, but didn't think it would matter that much.

The seats feel more comfortable, softer than my 04. The car overall just feels a lot more solid. How many out there can say they are on the SECOND TSX?

i've read that the difference in power is more than 5 hp due to the new SAE rating. congrats on the 2nd TSX!

If anything ever happened to my '04, I'd run out and buy my 2nd one in an instant.

Congrats on the purchase!

In fact, zack, you actually gained ~12hp. But due to the new SAE certification system, the 06/07 shows only a 5hp increase.

Oh, and congrats on the new TSX.

Wow, I didn't know that it was actually more than that. I absolutely loved my first TSX.

Hey zack, could you please provide more details on your lease transaction? My lease is up this year and I'm curious to know the manner in which you ended up with equity and how it was applied to your new lease.

TIA,
SRS

I'm on my second TSX as well. I had an '04 - now I have an '06. I'm waiting for the new model ('08?) to come out and I'll probably trade in my current TSX.

This is not the first time I've heard that, "having equity", at end of lease or even before.

Yes, please do tell how they calculated that.

Congratulations by the way!!

I agree. I got an 06 TSX in Nov after my 04 TSX was totalled. The seats seem more comfortable, even though people in this forum swear that there have been no changes. I also feel that overall handling is much better. Even on the OEM tires. I'm going to replace them soon because I found on my 04 that the Bridgestone Turanzas made the ride much, much better.

Combined with the new features (such as heated side mirrors, fog lights, power passenger seat, driver seat memory, XM, new Nav), the high book value the insurance gave me on my 04, and the ~$3000 discount I got on the end-of-year 06 model, I feel I got an exceptional deal in my 2nd TSX.

Looks like a winner all around. Upgrading the car and at a lower payment to boot.

Great choice of 2nd car. When you are done with this lease, the next gen TSX would of had its mid-model year changes (more hp, luxury, style). You will be ready to upgrade again.

I drove an 05 loaner for a few days and the seats are wider and more comfortable in the 06 TSX (wider side bolsters)

Congrats on your TSX! I have a 04 and I now really want to try the 07!

What color did you have before, and what do you have now?

Don't think I will be getting a second TSX for now, but if the Sport4 concept is what the new TSX will be based on, then it is a great possibility... :-)

I'm considering my second TSX right now as well. I'm in the black about $3K so trading in my 04 may get me an 07 for about the same payment, maybe less. I got a great deal on my 04 but I think I may have a tougher time swinging a deal on an 07. The only thing that concerns me is that this is the last year for the TSX as it is AFAIK. I usually won't buy cars when they're due for a model change/major upgrade but I can't find anything else out there that gives you so much for under $30K. I've been VERY happy with my 04 and from reading some of the positives about the 07s/06s over the 04, I'm looking forward to a more refined/updated TSX. Damn nice car it is. I'm in Tampa if anyone wants to buy mine before I just go over and hand in the keys and trade it in.
