Thumbs up

If you do the links now it shows the $185 price ... I called them and noted seeing the $99 price online ... NO PROBLEM ... After tax and shipping just under $116 ... 888-549-3798 ....

Thanks for the scoop

Just ordered mine for the CPO '08 TSX I bought last week. The disk in it was from 2006. Total with tax and S&H is $114.40.

BTW, is swapping the DVD straight forward? I have not looked at the device (or the instructions) yet. Assume its eject, insert and turn on. ??

The one annoying thing that I noticed when I got the new DVD was that my navigation instructs me to "exit" the freeway instead of staying on it for a segment of my old commute. The exit is one where thru-traffic is allowed, but I hate being told to exit and then merge back into the freeway whenever I get there. I'd rather have my navi not tell me anything (ie: stay on the freeway), and then I can make the decision if I want to use the detour.

Maybe someone at Alpine is familar with my area and is trying to make everyone else detour so he can stay on the freeway...lol

this may be what finally gets me to order an updated disk. especially since it seems like the 2006 disk is selling on ebay for around $60-$90

Damn! I'm a day late. I've been wanting to update for a while. I'm still running the 2006 maps.

Got mine installed without a hitch. Takes a good 10-15 min for the DVD to load so make sure you have the time and battery juice so you don't have to interrupt the update. Probably a good idea to start the car prior if you are not in an inclosed space. Can't tell much difference in the maps, but then again I only had the car for about a week. Still trying to learn the search functions on it. Zagat guide is updated FWIW. Will put my '06 DVD on ebay soon.

Was told this deal has finally expired but received a letter last week offering the 2011 update for $149.

The hyperlink to this offer is here: http://www.acuranavi.com/white

The only benefit to doing a telephone order is that I got them to waive the ridiculous $10 shipping fee.

The same item (v.4.92) is currently on ebay for $139-149 + shipping, so no reason to go there.

We had been holding off on this but had 2 recent road trips where we ended up on 2 new roads that were not on the map so we decided it would be useful. Hopefully the restuarant info is also updated as the old directory is missing a lot of places.
