2010 navigation dvd update 4.81 Anyone have it?

Has anyone here purchased the 2010 (4.81) white navigation dvd update? Looking on the website, it doesn't seem that there are any software improvements besides new map data. Can anyone confirm whether or not they've tweaked the UI or anything similar? The 2007 dvd removed male voice prompts and added one way street icons (I think). It looks like this 2010 edition
is just updated routing.

There's a thread on the RL forum, but not a lot of confirmed info from owners of the 2010 disc.

I have it. No tweaks to the UI. Just updated Zagat to 2009 and more roads. It also can't be burned, i think 4.6 or something is the last burnable one.

I don't know how much the whole GUI is affected by the disc version. Is it a worthwhile upgrade from the 2004 disc even if I don't use the navi often? I bought my CPO TSX last summer and it's still using the 2004 disc. I think $150 would be justifiable if it has other benefits.

The white disc won't work for 2004; you need the orange one.

I meant that I have a 2005 TSX, but it still has the "2004" version of the navi disc. I'm curious if there are general GUI updates that would benefit me besides the map upgrades/updates.

You still need the orange disc.

You might be able to find the answer to your question here:

I plan on getting it later this month to update my 06. I do believe they are just map and zagat survey updates. I do not believe there are any GUI updates. I can't confirm of course until I get it.

Please post here when you receive it. I'm thinking of updating my '06 disc as well, since most of the new subdivisions and highway construction are missing from the original.

me too! i have a 2006 TSX and have been wanting to update it since a lot of my roads and POIs are out of date at this point, but wondering if it's worth it.

That is my main reason for buying it. I have many unverified roads on my nav, plus I'll be doing a few road trips this summer so it will come in handy.

I wish they would have put a 200 mile area for the Canadian border region instead of 100 mile. That would encompass most of the major Canadian cities.

This may be a stupid question. I have a 2007 MDX and I am planning to update the Navi map to the new 4.81. Will this also update the traffic coverage. My 2007 MDX Navi does not currently have traffic coverage in my area. I drove a loaner 2010 RDX today with new 4.81 version navi and it had traffic coverage in my area. Will the map update bump up the traffic coverage as well ?

I don't think so. Traffic coverage is tied to XM I believe.

I just ordered the update today. Will post when I receive it!

SJ993, thanks for the response
I bought a preowned mdx 01 three weeks back. It has XM traffic and weather channel activated. I can hear the weather update I did not know that this is delivering the traffic update to the Navi. When ever I select traffic the navi says no updates within the 30 miles. . What would be the reason for that?. How do I check if my mdx is already subscribed for Traffic updates.

Actually, I was mistaken. I got this off of the acuranavi.com website with regards to the 4.81 update: This product also features improved traffic message coverage, for vehicles with traffic service.

I once got that same message on my RDX. I figured it was because I didn't have the traffic service. Since you do, you can call XM and they should be able to tell you. Usually they go off your xm radio ID.

I got the update and can verify it is only map updates, zagat survey updates, and more traffic coverage.
