2006 TSX with Quartz interior...
I bought an 06 tsx with CPG exterior that is beautiful and quartz interior..I think the Grey leather looks awful. This is a stupid question but I wonder if there is a shop that can by dye or treatment turn the leather all in the car on the seats black or *ebony* as they would call it..
Odd question I know but I love the car, just not the look of the leather I picked up.
-Thanks

Was this that car you were talking about with 138K miles for $9800?
Yea, I completely agree that the quartz interior is ugly. I made sure I avoided it. That's kinda what I was talking in your other thread about not rushing into a decision when buying a car, but I'm sure with time, you'll get over it.
You could technically swap the seats. You'd have to see about fitments and whatnot if you get seats from something other than a TSX though.
If you just get a completely new upholstery, it could run 1K in costs. But you can't just "dye" the leather.
Or just go with seat covers. Cheap, but personally, I've never liked to go with seat covers if I have leather seating.

Indeed its the same car.
Honestly the car is beautiful and in wonderful condition, I dont regret buying the car, just probably my first and only dislike on it, not a deal breaker or a big problem. Just a curious thought though. I prefer black but it will grow on me.
Had it checked by 3 mechanics separately. only things i need to do is get new rotors and pads. it had all new fluids and I convinced them to throw in all new tires, dunlop signatures for free.
Now im off to replace the speakers and just get used to driving this car coming from a lexus SUV...this car has its ups and downs compared to the lexus.

im sorry? hahaha but to me, it just doesn't look that sharp like the ebony or parchment looks, but hey, i don't like the white exterior but apparantly, a lot of people do so that fully makes the statement that we all have different tastes hold true.

Here is another Pic of my quartz; the camera had the wrong date. It has been over 4 years and the quartz has held up better than expected. I had a TSX loaner a few years ago with the ebony interior with dark tinted windows. It felt like I was sitting in a cave looking out. I wanted the ebony; but, the wife won out and she picked the quartz. Once again, she has proven a much better fashion sense compared to me.
Try adding the dark all weather floor mats and/or black seat covers.

Naw, not all quartz interior have the silver center. In fact, this is the first time I've seen a silver center so I'm gonna assume he had it changed. I gotta admit that silver center console definitely makes the quartz look better though

The silver on the center console and rests on the doors (not shown in the photo) is a really nice accessory, that in my opinion, completes the interior.
Acura offered a similar interior trim kit for the the plood look, called "fire horse."

Oliver!!!
I've got the quartz as well and I love it. Don't like the parchment and ebony just isn't a good option here in Florida. The quartz gets hot enough, I don't want to think about how much hotter black would have been.

Yea, ebony on top of a black exterior is brutal in the summer when I'm down in southern cal where it's 100 every single day. Can't even touch the door handle, the seats, nothing. Luckily, for most of the summer, I'm up in the cooler parts of northern cali so it makes it manageable

This site has a lot of OEM items to dress up the interior if the quartz is too much for some:

I've purchased from this web site for pedals for my RDX. I like these pedals a little better than the ones in my TSX.

Well, I'll vote the other way, too. I don't like the ebony interior. Too dark and dour...and inevitable the wrinkles in the driver seat leather seem much more glaring.

it's a car-drive it
I wanted Milano red which had either parchment or ebony interior. I chose ebony-still looks new after over 100K miles. I live on the coast of NC. Our other car has gray interior. They both get hot. Now our truck with black cloth seats is the best for sitting in the hot sun. I am planning to purchase a 2011 tsx with MT which means only ebony interiior

My list of colors in order of preference:
1. White
2. Black
4. Grey
The grey is very subtle and boring, but ultimately I'm more concerned with the practical aspects of the car, which is why I'm happy to have my least favorite interior color. Oh, and I listed grey as #4 because if they made another color, I would probably like that better too.

I'd go along with your comments, RedPoint. To me it depends upon which exterior color you have...but I like the Parchment the best.
But with that said, the interior of the TSX is beautiful in any color. I remember the automotive press drooling over it -- and the quality of the dash materials when it came out.
