'08 TSX service & suggestions

Took my wife's '08 6MT nav TSX in for service (B1) @ 37,500. The items taken care of:
1) B1 service
2) Both fogs replaced due to broken lenses - I paid
3) Rack unit replaced - warranty
4) AC expansion valve replaced - warranty - hopefully will cure the Whoop noise
5) PS hose replace - recall

I requested to old fogs back in hopes for replacing the busted lenses with lexan or some other harder material. Has anyone done this?

Any suggestions on what to do with the new fogs to protect the lenses?

After having both the foglights replaced after they cracked (within the first 6 months) by the dealer free as a one-time goodwill I put rockblocker (no longer in business) on them. They seem to be doing a great job after over 3 years.

I just got my recall notice on my 07 TSX for the PS hose. How long did it take Acura to replace this?

Also, should I ask them for a full PS steering fluid change? I'm currently at 34k miles. Is this included with the recall, or will they try to charge me for this?

Thanks!

To be honest I am not sure of the flush is included in the recall. This is a half-day repair and you should get a loaner car for the duration IF your dealer has that option. Does not hurt to ask. If it is not included I am sure it would not be that much.

i e-mailed the acura service manager where I take my tsx for service. He wrote back and said they only top of the fluid. A complete flush or replacement is only needed if the fluid is contaminated. Otherwise not needed. The acura dealer near me quote $99.95 for a power steering flush.

I have this kit installed and I'm very happy with it: XPEL Headlamp and Fog Lamp Kit

I've tried a number of solutions - many of the films would burn slightly and become discolored, I removed the broken glass and cut replacement lenses out of a sheet of Lexan XL10 which tended to melt over time, so I gave this kit a try and it has held up for two years now without any issues. It might seem a little expensive, but keep in mind that it's less than the cost of replacing a single fog light.

According to Acuratech, the fluid is to be replaced under the recall:

I have done a ton of these, and it goes like this: drain ("flush") old fluid, remove old hose, remove P/S pressure switch, replace o-ring on switch w/ a new one, install old switch w/ new o-ring on new hose, install new hose, fill up with new fluid.

yeah you aren't getting a free flush under recall - i can tell you that. They must cap the hose so it doesn't spill out and then just top it off. they don't drain it first.
