2006/2007 euro-r body kit hardware

this might've been discussed in the past, but reading TSX road warrior's old thread (here), it seems like some additional hardware might be needed to keep the kit on.

i ordered mine from aj-racing. they insisted that the existing hardware on your car is enough. still, i want to be cautious and get some extra bolts or clips to make sure it won't come off.

the only dealership i've called who's willing to sell the hardware alone is ray laks. the service person said they can part w/ the 04/05 hardware for $144. i find this to be pretty steep for a bunch of clips and fasteners (although relative to the amount i'm spending on the kit, $144 is paltry).

can these pieces like the clip nuts or spring nuts be picked up at home depot or lowe's? i'm assuming the bolts and self-tapping screws can be obtained. thanks.

You def need the aspec hardware from everything I have read concerning the euro r kit. But for additional screws and what not you could get them at home depot, however; I don't think you can get extra clips at home depot.

damn. the difference in hardware for the 04/05 vs. 06/07 is subtle, but i'm wondering if there are compatibility issues if i got the 04/05 hardware from ray laks.

this blows. i'm going to email acura of escondido.

hey john i wasn't able to get bolts either minkl81 told me when he got his euro kit he said he used zipties and then for the rear lip he got self taping screws where the wheels are and screwed them into the wheel well.

zipties will do their job if you get every part my rear lip is holding on with 3m and lots of zipties well one in each hole.

ummm, where the zipties go, is that just where clips go, or should there be actual screws there??? Because if it's clips you can buy a huge bag of them online for cheap. I have the aspec kit on my car so not sure what the Euro R mounts look like. Just reiterating what i heard from other posts that the hardware kit is reccomended.

Have you tried www.hondacuraworld.com??? Just call or e-mail Tim and he may have a hardware kit he's willing to sell

i did email hondaacuraworld. it's the same as ray laks. the best price they could give me is $144 for 04/05 hardware. this is lower than the original list price for $172.

i may dig around. crazyazn made a good point about being able to pick up bolts from home depot.

it's really the other stuff like the clips and the self-tapping screws.

I got the matching bolts and clips from Lowes for my RSX. The Acura price for the hardware was ridiculous at $95. You can get the sleeves and matching bolts to get everything attached from a hardware store for $10.
