2005 TSX amp wire color changes - 2005 Helms?

I heard today from a forum member who had their 2005 in a shop getting an amp added. The wire colors at the amp had changed from the 2004, per the installer. The pin locations were the same, we think, but the wire colors were not the same (except RTO and GND).

Does anywone have a 2005 Helms Service Manual or Electrical T-shoot guide who would be willing to post scans of the amp wiring page?

Thanks in advance.

I ordered an '05 Helms manual, and they sent me one that says '04-'05. Where there are differences, it usually has one page for each, but on the audio page just the '04 colors. I wrote down the colors that are at each pin location, but left the manual in the car. I'll grab it on my way in from work tonight and post new colors for '05.

Ok, so I didn't quite remember to bring it in the other night, but here the colors are:
Connector A (Speaker outputs) has the same colors as '04.
Connector B (Amp inputs) has the following colors:
B1 - Yellow
B2 - Grey
B3 - Blue
B4 - Green
B5 - Grey
B6 - Purple
B7 - Yellow with Green (same as '04)
B8 - Brown
B9 - Grey
B10 - Pink
B11 - Red
B12 - Grey
B13 - Light Blue
B14 - Black (same as '04)

Yes, there are 4 wires the exact same shade of grey. They are all the ones labelled "shielding." Pin order does indeed seem to be the same (which would make sense in terms of amp production.) If I turn up different results when I test the system, hopefully this weekend, then I'll definitely post and let you know.

What's the significance of the wire being different colors, if any?

Would there be any irregularities if you had an 05 wired according to the 04 diagram?

As I said, the wires seem to be in the same locations, which would make sense from a production standpoint so no, there should not be any irregularities if you wired it according to the 04 diagram. The only significance is that some people may get worried and think they're looking at the wrong wiring harness if the colors don't match up.

Also, some installers will do all of their wiring based on the color. Some of them have no idea about pin locations/counting.

I only ask because had some weird frequency reactions when I had my system installed using the RCA spliced outputs of the stock HU.

dang edit limit...

i think there's a frequency thing going on, but it could be the tweeters not fully broken in yet like before.

Just trying to isolate causes. Because I'm sure it's not normal that sometimes when I turn the volume from 10 to -- I get a slight pop in the ear, like that feeling when coming off a plane but less pronounced. I'm hoping maybe it's caused by an odd wiring... or tweeters not broken in yet... dunno
