2005 Tsx At

Is there a problem with this car or something?
Why is there no performance options for this car other than intake/exhaust
There are superchargers for all the other tsx's EXCEPT the '05 AT
boohoo

^ no one has been able to crack our ecu for a tune. so, buy a 04 ecu and get it synch up with your immobilizer and key and your all set for a supercharger. some board members have already done it

yeah it sucks, im still trying to figure out why Acura decided to make it harder to crack for 05 AT since they 04 and 06 ECUs AT were cracked by Hondata. the world may never know

Meh. You can do alot more before you have to even consider Hondata.

Um, you might as well give up modding at all then. There are no cheap mods that net big gains, sorry.

Well, except those 50hp "chips" they sell on ebay for $10.

Both these ppl claim its for 2005 TSX AT....

i can't begin to count how much i've spent thus far, lol. but the cumulative mods do def make a difference. if you must get an exhaust AND want performance, then go with a single exit such as 5zigen or feels

The gains are incremental. Honestly, just about all hondas are like that, unless you want to FI.

I don't, because I enjoy it this way. Adding little things here and there when I have the time and money. And it really didn't cost me that much because I self installed most of it. Its a hobby, as opposed to some number I want to attain.

Of the mods that make a acceleration difference, it cost me about $850 (I/H + TB spacer and Gaskets). If you factor in lightweight rims and tires, that cost me $700. However, I had to replace my tires anyways, so I really don't count that cost. But anyways, $1550 overall to go faster a couple of ticks. Not cheap, but its not a civic afterall.

The 05AT is the exception since Hondata has not (and will not) cracked the ECU code. The Comptech Supercharger reguires a reflash of the ECU for engine management and the reflash is from Hondata. Since the 05AT cannot be reflashed the Supercharger will not work.

However, there is a way to get around that. An 04 ECU swap can be done which can then be reflashed.

if it was like one big mod like SC it would be worth it to gain an extra 50whp.
but i don't even have that option.
with my 03 evo i probably spent around $2000 and gained about 80whp.
fuel pump, injectors, cams, exhaust, boost controller, and a good dynotune.

with this car... i wish i can spend $5000 and gain that 50whp but i can't.
how annoying.
yea swapping the ecu would work but then you gotta take it back to big man to get the immobilizer sync'd and they charge you up the but for that.
i did that for the evo and the mitsu dealer said they can only reflash to the ecu's serial number so even if they do a reflash it just goes back to default for THAT ecu not a different year model. I wanted an 04 flash on a 03 ecu.

Look at those two cars, they're nothing alike at all. The way you're talking it's like your surprised that 30+ thousand dollar luxury car doesn't have the modding options that a 20 some thousand dollar car that was built specifically for the tuner crowd. It's hardly a shocking revelation.

my 2004 evo was stickered at 32,500
my 2003 i bought used
the new evo 10 starts at 32,990 IF you can find a dealer that sells it that cheap.
so price-wise they're not too far apart.

What were you expecting out a NA 4 banger that wasn't built to have FI? Maybe you shoulda picked up an Audi A4 2.0t if you wanted sport luxury with the option for upping the boost. The TSX is the wrong car for you.

Again ... you just said you dont mind spending 5K on Supercharging the car but are worried about the cost and dealer fees of an ECU swap .... lol....
Dude the ECU used from a junkyard is like 250 and ive heard that the dealer fee for syncing it up is like 100... so thats what like 5350 instead of 5000...
Thats only 7% increase in the total price....
