2005 Tsx
Hi!
As a college graduation present, my dad said he will get me an acura tsx and wants to wait until the 2005's are ready to be ordered. i was curious if anyone knew when acura might be planning on starting production or start taking orders....im getting a bit anxious! I've been wanting this car ever since it came out!!!
thanks!

Please note there are other threads that cover the topic, please search for those.
But,
I am also in the market for an 05, and I recently received this response from one dealer:
I'm still showing that we've got production dates on '04 TSX's until the end of August. There's at least a 30 day delay between the production date, and when we'll see the vehicle at the dealership. That means it will probably be at least October before we see the '05 TSX's.
Whenever you’re ready to look at a new car, just want some information, or for that matter, if you just want to pester me a little you can reply to this e-mail or call me at 632-1111.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you again again soon.
Have a Great Day!

No biggie. We understand that most n00bs will likely ask a question that has been asked before. Closing threads is nothing personal, we're just trying to keep the boards tidy. No sense in having 20 threads on the same topic.

And I didn't close this thread because mpic02 had already done a good job of reminding about the repost for his first post ever here, which I found rather amusing BTW.
Anyways, If you want to well understand why we do this, just read the sticky I just posted in this morning, and you should understand easily. Like Dan said, it's not to be mean or nasty with new members, it's just a matter of preventing the forum to stagnate on one topic only.

Here's what Acura should be doing for the 05 models:
1) a couple memory settings for the driver's seat
2) better gearing on 6th gear so as to make it a real crusing gear (thus giving you 33mpg)
3) better looking 17s (that don't look like the 16s on the V6 Accord)
4) tone down that silver interior trim (more like what is in the TL)
5) fix the window seals so they don't scratch window tint

I did try to search for posts about 2005's but nothing was coming up....i wouldn't have posted a question if i didnt try to find the answer myself first and succeeded in doing so. And while it has been said that the criticism is not supposed to offend...it def irks me because all of the posts concerned with a "repeat post" were done with obviously no tact. This is acutally the last time i will post here because of it.....BUT i do thank people that were nice enough to answer me. And why not make the search mechanism on this site a bit easier to use or a bit more sensitive.....in my search for info about 2005's on the message board, i used the key words "2005", "tsx", "production" and nothing came up that answered my question. Just something to think about....

Hmm .. klingy ... I am trying to understnad your angle on this but I just did a search for "2005" and "2005 TSX" (just doing "TSX" on a TSX site might be a bit too loose don't ya thinl?) and got quite a few few hits. Some were false, but it nailed about 8-10 specific threads just like this one most of which were in the last 2 months.
As for the tone ... honestly that is something that you will see on a lot of long time forums like this one with the demographic like this board. Don't take it personally, some folks just come across more harsh than others in an online forum. One of the things I want to point you to is the response from Dan Martin and Sauceman who are on staff for the site. I think they articulated this pretty well early on in the thread as well.
So hope this helps klingy82 and others, but I will say the search function is quite powerful and as you get good try Advanced Search ... it's even better

mods- since this topic is coming up so much recently (and is likely to increase), can we just sticky it and call it 2005 TSX speculation/discussion or something of that nature?
just a thought

Let's post the info we know there and keep that sticky until or just after the 2005 release. Closing this one.
