2 door TSX

I have never owned a 4dr and have always preferred the look of coupes, but the TSX has a great total package....and looks great.
I will be getting a new car later this year and the TSX is currently at the top of my list.

Is there a 2dr equivalent to the TSX in terms of total package???

I would love a G35 Coupe....but that it out of my budget.

My last car was a GSR...I loved that car..... and I will not disgrace its memory by getting an RSX
Actually I don't really like the look of the RSX, it is kinda small (I was outgrowing my GSR), and I want a more luxury feel.

Bimmer coupe? Might have to get a 02 or 03 though, if price is an issue.

Check out the Subaru Legacy GT Limited. It's not a 2 door but if you like the TSX you might like it. It is very fast, handles extremely well, and is pretty comparable to the TSX in every other area including price.

Why not get the TSX and just weld the rear doors shut?

Or you could just make it one big, monster door from front to back

the rsx is not a 2-door tsx. why do people keep saying this? they share nothing, and are on different platforms.

duh,
Is there a 2dr equivalent to the TSX in terms of total package
The RSX is about as close as you can get to a 2 door TSX, 6 speed, same HP, iVtec, they share the same friggan brakes.

But if you want the package the TSX has you'd have to look at a BMW 3 series coupe

When I was narrowing the TSX as one of my options, I also had the 2004 Honda Accord EX in mind. Its a coupe, 240hp 6cylinder, everything the tsx has, except Xenon head lights. HAHAHA that was probally why I liked the class that came with the TSX.

If he's going to compromise and get a sedan that's similar to the TSX, how about a TSX??

(though the new Legacy GT is hot!)

You mean the TSX isn't a lengthened RSX ?

An RSX is as close as you'll get to a TSX coupe. That was the point and answer to the original question.

I guess I'll stick with the TSX. The accord is close, but it is not as nice looking and kinda generic...they are all over the place.

Nope, it's a completely different platform. Comparing the front suspension of the RSX (mcpherson strut) versus the TSX (wishbone) further shows the lack of resemblence. Also, I think some people would prefer to a coupe and not a hatchback. That being, I don't see them making a TSX-based coupe anytime soon.

You might be able to get a stock 325 coupe for a little more than a TSX although this is the last year for the E46 3 series.

Rx-8

I test drove the G35 4-door 6-spd manual and thought the TSX was a much better car overall. Of all the cars I test drove, including the RSX Type S which wasn't impressive, the only other car I liked was the RX-8. I got the TSX instead of the RX-8 due to practicality issues and my wife didn't like how small it was.

Here's someone who was not swayed by the much better 0-60 times of the G35.

I thought about an RX-8...but I don't know too much about the reliability and the "fit & finish". I have never been a huge Mazada Fan.
Also, and older BMW coupe would be nice, but I don;t want to pay $200 for an oil change...I know maintenance on those things is crazy

How about an American muscle car? Pontiac GTO priced just over 30k, LS1 Corvette engine, rear wheel drive... If you can afford high gas price. :P

The Accord Coupe V6/6speed would be a nice two door alternative to the TSX. Comparable size, power and handling and Honda quality. I even considered this car vs the TSX.
The RSX is basically a Civic with different sheet metal and bigger engine. Its considerably more claustrophobic inside.... I also didn't care for the RSX's large C pillar and the resulting obstruction of my view off the rear quarters but that is pretty common with most coupes ...

How bout a 01-03 CL-S like I have, add a couple of mods and you have around 230hp/190lbs AT the wheels....And you can get a great price bc of the tranny problem that has been addressed...check out out other board Acura-cl.com
