07 TSX vs 08 TSX 1st gen
I'm pretty set on a 1st gen TSX both of the TSX are the same color and everything. Both are CGP/Ebony Nav/5AT.
What would everyone pick?
07 with 11k miles Price trying to get them down to 22k
08 with 9.5k miles They counter offered me 24.5k
Now from my research I've found both seem the be the same nothing changed from 07 to 08. I really don't care about the year for resell value as I plan on keeping the car for years through college and after.
I think I'm sure the tsx is better for me then the TL...

Glad you are converting from Bimmer to the reliable Acura brand.
Maybe you can found out more on how the 07's maintenance was taken care of. If the 07 drives just as good as the 08 with no defects, I say go for the 07.

Oh should have mention that both cars are CPO from two different dealers both dealers are both about 80miles away from me. The 07 was a 1 owner and the 08 was Corporate fleet which I think it means was a loaner...
Yeah I'm happy to sell the e46 it was fun car, but every time I brought it in for service it would cost me easy 700-1000bucks. Looking forward to having an Acura. As my mom has had a civic and its been great to her.

The mileage diff' from the '07 single owner and the '08 beater^H^H^H^H^H^H^ fleet vehicle isn't even enough to consider it. If you could talk the dealer down on the '08 (or have them provide AcuraCare -- not dealer, but Acura -- extended warranty for 6 years/100,000 for free), maybe, but otherwise get the '07.
Me, I'd take the '08 for $2000 less AND an extended warranty thrown in gratis. Maybe that's ridiculous, it's only got < 10,000 miles on it, but....

Well everyone I talked with the dealer who has the 07 and they would not budge at all. Even when I told them Acura of Elk Grove which is not far from them (Niello Acura) had offered me 24k for an 08. They told me for 22k they could put me into an 05 with miles. I laughed and mention they must be selling cars easy then. Told them if they change there minds let me know.

Hey Johnny, I got my 05 with GPS and 25k miles on it for $13 000. Mine has salvage title, but since I got it right after the accident for 7.5k, I know what the damage was and I know it is completely fixed and drives perfectly.

Yeah, I guess salvage vehicles are decent buys if you got it cheap and know it was fixed properly. I'd never buy one where damage was caused to the structural integrity of the vehicle though, even if it was fixed (personal preference I guess).
You guys are smart heh. I paid like $27k for my new non-navi 08 (initially a few hundred less and then they called and said I owed them more money..and that they wouldn't mail the plates to me if I didn't pay up). All said and done, after ttl and 2.9% finance I somehow crawled over the $30k mark. Could've saved myself a ton if I bought used...oh well.
Getting back to you, screw the loaner (dealership gave me an 08 TL loaner when I went in for service friday and that thing was beat up bad). 06's aren't bad either, I don't think much different from 07-08's (just missing TPMS if I remember correctly?) and probably a few grand cheaper. If I was buying used that's what I'd personally be looking at.

You're giving yourself a headache and more work if you don't buy a used car price report from Consumer Reports. For $12 or so you can find out exACTLY what that specific year car with specific options and its current mileage is worth. You could even print it out for the stealership. Tell 'em to make the price or stop wasting your time.
Yes, I did use a used car price report when I bought mine. There was confusion between two 2006 TSX', I ended up with one with twice as much mileage, so i countered with the average dealer price for that mileage, which dropped about $750 off the price. After 30 seconds of chuckling, they accepted. Simple.
Turn the equation around, stop letting them pressure you or coerce you into paying the profit they want you to. Give them fair market value and drive that car home. AND ...examine the sale contract CAREFULLY.

I think that's illegal. Before you drove the car off the lot, you probably signed a purchase contract which spelled out every last dime for every little thing. If you signed that contract, that was it, sale was done. Refusing to provide your state plates until you paid some other fees = SCAM. A quick call to the DOT/DMV probably would've resolved that.
