Is an 06 really a good deal?
Hi everyone,
I have spent some time looking at the 06 TSX with navi and think I am ready to buy. However, I am trying to decide between getting an 06 or waiting for the 07 model.
1. Anyone know when Acura will make their official announcement regarding the features and dates when the 07 models will be available? I know about the TPMS, however, I would like to hear official work from Acura.
2. I live in Los Angeles, so there are a bunch of dealers that I can shop around. I have received quotes for an 06 with navi for around $27, 200 before TTL. From my calculations this is around $700 below invoice or just invoice without destination. Sure it is a good deal, however it will be one-year old in a couple of months. Even though I am not planning to sell anytime soon, when I do, it will take a larger hit by being older.
My question: do you think it will be very difficult to get an 07 for invoice at around the end of the first month they become available (keeping in mind that I live in Los Angeles)? If so, is it really worth saving $700 to get a one-year old car?
Thanks for any input!!!

Another way to think of it is if you don't drive a whole lot, your 06 could be low mileage compared to other 06s bought earlier in the year.
Either way, I wouldn't worry much about it. It's still a new car.
You can check www.acuranews.com for press releases and such.

I just got an 06.
It's very obvious that Acura will raise the MSRP for the 07 models and since they're a limited produced car, there's no way you can get any good deals on the 07 for a while.
To most buyers the year model is not as significant as the mileage so there's no reason to be worried.
You are saving way more than $700 by buying an 06 instead of an 07. You're probably saving at least $1500-$2000.

You will lose a little being a 06 if you sell/trade-in later. You will make it up with the low mileage and the money you saved with great price your getting. Don't wait too long; you might be stuck with the deep green pearl as your only color choice for a 06.

I am considering an O6 auto non navi and found some pretty good deals on them. The first quote was sticker price. The dealer told me that the TSX is a hot car. I know its a hot car, but i also know that I can get a much better price on the same car at a different dealership. The second dealer said 26,995 and the third and lowest quote ive gotten is 26,600. I still have to call the first dealer and let him know that the cars are going for almost invoice price.
