05 tsx so what???

hey guys i dont understand what the big deal is about having an 05??

NOT HATING ON THE PEOPLE WHO OWN ONE BTW

the way i look at is

we 04 people got 1 of very limited production vehicles that still has the orignal taste of the Euro-r

I like the fact that the 04 is more japanese style than Tl style

if i wanted all the features that a TL has i would have bought one (meaning the xm radio, the heated mirrors all the new addons to the 05 tsx)

the 04 tsx is by far (in my opinion) a better buy due to its rarity and distinguishness (if thats a word lol)

we got the euro-r passenger seat with a handle (instead of power), no xm,....

basically 04's are and euro-r with more class ..

any opinions???

post up <---- that shit is cooll lol

lots of returns = confusing post.

There really isn't anything bad about the 05, it just has a few more features than the 04. I wouldnt mind having one, but I dont feel like Im missing out.

I think that anybody who doesn't have the exact same car I have - same model year, same options, and same color - is missing out!

I personally would choose 05 over 04 anyday because of following reasons..

1) a little more convinient features. (doesn't hurt to have)

2) less problems

3) NOT a first year product

4) might worth a little more than 04 when selling

do u guys really think the 05 will be worth more than a 04 later on down the road???

i would think that the rarity of the 04 would give it an advantage later on down the road

the rattles are no big deal they can be fixed

as far as the extra options

yeah they are nice wouldnt mind having them but y not opt for the TL which already has all those feature plus more and you might be able to get a non-navi model for about the same price as a tsx in some places

you are wrong on many counts, our car is not all that much like the Euro-R so there's little difference between the 04 and 05. none of the TSX seats are the same as the Euro-R so power or manual makes no difference. the only really unique thing about hte 04 is it doesn't have the fin.

ur absolutely correct

our tsx doesnt have the actual seats

but we can still consider ourselfs an accord due to the many similarities

the 04 tsx is basically a honda while the 05 has become an american acura

i dunno if the statement above is a good thing for the 04 but u get my point

honda honda honda lol

I haven't heard of any of the problems with the 04 being fixed in the 05 (especially rattles). Sure it would be nice to have XM, power passenger seat and lighted wheel controls, but it doesn't make me wish I had the 05.

Just how is that so?

There's no major re-design, it's the same chassis, same engine and tranny, etc., etc.

There just have been a few added equipments, which is a good thing IMO.

Note that the Accord in EDM and JDM probably have their own equipment upgrades too.

who are you trying to sell the car to? If you're selling a car to an average joe, they're going to look at an 05 instead of an 04 because it's newer... Or s/he may look at an 04 because it's older and goes for cheaper.

rarity don't mean unless you kept the car in near mint condition and/or it was a show car....IMO of course

So the '04 model is more "Euro" than the '05 model because it has less amenities? Euro cars are also characterized by smaller engines and sparse interiors but that doesn't necessarily make them more special than the American counterparts. Euro ppl also bathe less.

I can say almost with zero doubt that a 05 model will be worth more than an 04 (all things be equal of course). You are really only kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

Where do you get the crazy idea that 04s are a rarity? LOL Acura started selling them in April 03 and didn't stop until October 04. With such a long production run, it's certain there will be less 05 models produced than 04s. That being said, I don't think it'll have any impact (either way) on resale value.

Ha. It's a good car, but it's not going to be a classic.
