'04-'05 Acura iPod Retrofit kit
Hey, I have an '05 TSX and spoke with the local dealer who said that they have had tons of questions whether the MusicLink system will work in '04 or '05 TSXs. Of course, it won't but he said that Acura recently told them that they are working on a retrofit kit for older TSXs (and I'm sure RSXs, TLs, etc.) that will be out in '06. Has anybody else heard this or have any other info? I was considering installing an Aux port (and giving up on XM) or one of the third party iPod integration systems that work with the TSX, but I'd rather have an Acura designed iPod integration system

Soundgate and Blitzsafe both make adapters that plug directly into our units which could then be wired anyway you want to plug anything into them you want. So buying an OEM kit just sounds like a money making deal for them with little or not additional functionality.

What about NAVI folks? I know the aftermarket IPOD/MP3 solutions work but will not display songs and stuff on the NAVI. Does the current 06 display IPOD info and ability to choose songs through the touchscreen of the NAVI?

Guess my point is, don't hold your breath.

That's a Ridgline...I can't imagine it shares many components with any Acura.
I'm looking for a system that will allow me to plug in my iPod directly to the stereo and still maintain XM functionality. Having the info show up on my Navi would be an added bonus, but I'll take a system that will let me use XM and the iPod concurrently.

It's just going to take me a little while to get real far on this as I need to do some considerable hacking just to figure out how to send the text up.
Also, if this all works out, don't expect to be able to buy too many of them initially, since they'd be hand-soldered and assembled initially. With enough interest, or perhaps if I partnered with Blitzsafe perhaps, the volume could be increased.

If you read the whole instructions, it is compatible with XM.
Honda shared lots of parts with acura. Like our foglights. It from an older generation USDM Accord. The interior of the TSX is the interior of the Honda Inspire.
The auto dimming rear view mirror is the same on the rdgeline as the TSX.
I'm not saying it will fit but it's a step in the right direction in terms of where to look.
