$26k '07 Tsx?

do you think this is a fair offer? non nav, A/T or M/T. the invoice is $25,781, $26k including fees and what not....? if not, what is a reasonable offer?

Thanks!

26 standard / 28 navi has been the going rate for a while. Check the sign in thread for lots of great data.

is that a personal preference or are the A/T problematic?

It's his personal preference. Don't listen to what anyone says here about transmission. Get the one you want to drive.

So far, the A/T on the TSX has been pretty bulletproof. I've only heard of 1 or 2 failures in all the history of the TSX board, and we all know this is where people come to complain. These seem to be much better than the 2G TL / 6G Accord trans that was much more prone to failure.

I just did some back of the book calcs and i came up with this. Invoice on an 07 TSX, non-nav, 6spd is $25,781. I figured the difference between MSRP and Invoice are $2308, i divided that by 2 and came up with $1154. With that said, how does $26935 OTD sound to you guys?

of course the closer to invoice, the better. it's really up to you and the dealership now. don't forget the lo/jack or extended warranty options, which they'll offer when you talk to the finance guy after you've established the price. if you choose to add these options, it'll also affect your monthly payments. just a thought.

The invoice number you are using doesn't include the destination charge of $670. Depending on where you are buying, there may be a regional advertising fee on the dealers invoice as well (in New England it's $200). A dealers true cost on a TSX no nav is typically around $26,500 depending on whether they install wheel locks and splash guards on every car.

Long story short, $26K is not a offer they will be jumping for joy on, but is't not so far off that they won't work with you.

Not saying you should pay MSRP, but in all reality, the TSX is worth every penny of it. Get yourself a good deal on a great car and be happy.

just search for 'extended warranty' or 'lo/jack' and you'll find some threads about it.

a lot of ppl don't opt for the extra 2 years on their warranty b/c hondas/acuras are typically very reliable. my wife and i got it b/c we probably plan to keep this car 5-6 years and drive it into the ground.

the lo/jack is really debatable. i didn't install it b/c it just didn't seem to add any value for the amount of money they were asking. if it's stolen, it's stolen. even if they found it, who's to say it'll be in one piece?

We'll that sounds good Jimi, but don't count on them saying yes to that offer. Tax, license and fees total about 10% of selling price.
