Question SHOCKS & SPRINGS

HI All,

This morning i went to my Honda dealership (part dept), I asked lovely parts person, how much will it cost for Shocks & Springs for my car, So she looked on the computer and told me £ 926.28 ($1,853.45). I said WOW !!! she done a print out for me to take-away.

Part numbers as follows
51601-SW5-J03 ABSORBER ASSY.R.FR. SHOCK
51602-SW5-J03 ABSORBER ASSY.L.FR. SHOCK
51610-SW5-J03 ABSORBER ASSY.R.RR. SHOCK
51620-SW5-J03 ABSORBER ASSY.L.RR. SHOCK

Is there cheaper ? if so where ?

have u considered in general just lowering your car with aftermarket shocks and springs...it should come out cheaper than 1800 with top quality parts? I do not have my car lowered but many of the members do! some companies are Tein, Eibach, and more i cannot recall atm. Check E-bay.com and the group buys on here and black market.

man I don't know what you're looking for, but I wouldn't spend that much at all...

you're most affordable option is to get Tokico HP's with your original springs on unless you want to drop it a little... or something.

I just went through all that... the shocks will cost you like $250 and and then get about $240 for labor and you're good to go with new shocks : )

and you can get away with Koni yellows and ground control springs for about $900, and then you can just put it together yourself.

I don't exactly remember, but I believe they are the ones from the first gen 2.2/2.3 cl. There was an old thread on it before, I'll try to dig it out.

Edit: here is the thread with the parts numbers. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40133

I'd still check on koni's site to make sure on the parts numbers before you buy, in case you buy the wrong ones.
