CL-S Rims: I has them
The craigslist gods have smiled on me this past week and I lucked up on some CL-S rims and 4 practically new tires.
The Loot:
- 17 x 7" Alloy finish CL-S wheels [x 5]
- Futura Touring VR all season tires with 10/32 tread [x 4]
Now I will admit that I was particularly disappointed when I saw how badly they were scratched, but after an hour and a half of driving I knew I wasn't going home empty handed. The guy could see that I was having second thoughts and gave me a pretty solid deal. I got the whole lot for $320
Tomorrow I will be calling a local rim refinishing shop and sending them off to be brought back to their former glory, mounted, balanced, and ready for installation I've since found some matching alloy Acura center caps for them as well.
Opinions are welcome. I think I made off like a bandit, what I've paid so far plus the cost of refinishing all 5 will still be less than buying 4 new ones without tires

That's pretty cool, can't wait to see the pics. By the way, the only difference between CL-S and TL-S wheels is the width? Also, how come you got 5 rims, does the CL come with a full-size spare?

Yes, IIRC the width (and of course the weight) are the only difference between the CL-S and TL-S rims.
As for having 5 of them, he had an extra one so he just threw it in along with the rest. I will be keeping it as a full-size spare.

Yeah they do, although after seeing TSX rims on a 1st gen I have to say that they look better (in my opinion) - I can't wait to get my hands on some this spring. I think that the stock wheels on the 3.2's are pretty decent looking, much better than other rims back in those days. The only problem is that they were only 15's.

Just dropped the wheels off at Ye Olde Rim Shop in Elkridge, MD today to get an estimate on a repair/mount/balance.
Turns out 3 of the 5 rims were severely bent (which I could see as soon as they went on the balancer). And I was staring at close to a grand to get them trued and refinished to factory
So I asked the guy what my options were. He tells me to wait one minute and runs off to the back room. Turns out he has a set of CL-S rims that he was already fixing and prepping for paint! He told me he'd let them go for $650 painted I told him I'd gladly take them off his hands and that he could use my "craigslist specials" for scrap (for which he deducted a few bills off of my total).
I decided on a light silver polyurethane wheel paint with a slight sparkle to it. It should be slightly more durable than the regular paint. The center caps will be painted to match the rims - they are the embossed Acura caps not the decal ones so the A will still be visible.
So far the reviews I've read of their work are great and most people in the area swear by them, seeing as how all they do is fix rims. The guy I talked to was named Dan and I believe he is the owner's son.
They should be done in a week and some change so look out for pics in a couple days
That is all for now.

Well, they scratched one of the rims while mounting it but they are repainting it for free. Oh well, so much for having them by the end of this week.
They should be finished (again) mid next week - expect pics then
