well finally i got to getting my cel checked after a while....
turns out the tranny on the Tl is starting to go bad it f*****g sucks...the shop wants 1200 if it comes to having a rebuild i didnt even bother to ask how much a new one would cost. idk what to even do now

 

It probably dried up because of low fluid I think maybe thats why you had the smoke that smelled like oil. I had a transmission line bust on the radiator in a Honda Accord and didn't know until it was too late and the tranny dried up. Maybe you had a small amount leaking that wasn't noticable until it smoked.
