Question Vanity Light Not Working (Mirror Lights)

Ok so I had this problem ever since purchasing my 1996 2.5TL at 156k. I tried changing the bulbs, but nothing. I know there isn't a fuse so I'm assuming it requires electrical work. Has anybody here ever had this problem? If so what did you do? (it's not really a necessity for me but out of mere curiousity)

ON A SIDE NOTE:
Is it me or do all the a/c vents (on the passenger side) on this vehicle break easily?

Thanks

Before buying the TL that I have now, I went to check another one and the vents were broken, but the car's interior was pretty messed up though - the wheel looked like it was chewed up and the coin tray was missing, among other things... In my current TL, it's all good so I guess that it might be just you.

a dumb question... but you are testing the vanity lights when you have your parking/headlight on right??? if your lights aren't on, the master switch isn't on to the vanity...

Yea just like Kam said your parking or headlights have to be on if you want to use the vanity light. The vents do break easily. My passenger broke way before I got my car and now it is going to cost me $75 to replace because I can't find one in any salvage yard in my area.

I just used Krazy glue to keep it in place.

Yes, yes they do. My brother put his hand through it trying to adjust it. I had it wedged back in (the bezel) but now I've just left it. I gave up trying to fix it after all the fins broke from people touching it and asking what happened.

~Cheers~

I actually do try them when the parking/headlights are on; but, still nothing. A dumb question, where is the master switch? Is it right above where the mid speakers are?
