trunk leak

trunk leak

I have a 96. 2.5TL i have a few friends with the same car and we all have a trunk leak and cant locate where it is leakin from any help, suggestions, fixes??

it's leaking from your tail light housing.

Usually it's the gasket for the left taillamp. It dries out over time.

How hard is the fix for the taillight gasket? Mine has 250,000 miles runs great.

it is a rubber gasket... just call up a Tim at OEM acura parts and he can get one to you... he is a vendor on this forum... just pull out the taillight and pull off the gasket, put new one on...

Pull back the trunk liner on the right and left where the tail lights are. Then you are going to be a deep socket 8mm or pliers if you choose to go that way. Really easy to do.
