I am not 100% but it's very unlikely. Some fabrication will be needed because of the engine placement.

If you use car-part.com and search for a replacement, you'll see that only 2.5TL's are donors for transmissions. I've found this site will show X-over donors, if they are compatible. So I think the answer is no.

good luck

I would be interested to hear how much effort is required to replace the trans. I saw a requirement for a special tool (extension shaft puller). Do you have that tool or alternative method to pull the extension shaft? Do you have a lift or will you elevate the car and remove from underneath?

thanks

you don't need an extension shaft puller. you take a big washer and a 12mm bolt and you thread the bolt with the washer onto the end of teh extension shaft. then you take a prybar and pry at the washer and the shaft will pull right out.

EDIT: wait, you're only doing the tranny? then you don't even need to pull the extension shaft. That's only if you need to pull the differential out without the tranny.

i'm not sure whether we're gonna pull the trans+engine or just drop the trans from below. the guy im going it with is going to bike week, so next weekend this will be done. friday, get started ripping apart. saturday, put all back together. trans along with rear seal, axle seals, everything i see im replacing the seals. the tans i received will also get a new strainer, cleaning, etc.

my alldata print out says you need to pull the extension shaft to drop the trans. being that i usually have GMs and this is my first longitudinal FWD tranny to drop, i'm not too sure which way to try first. also, seeing as how no parts/tool store seems to know what i'm talking about trying to find an extension shaft puller, i'll try the 12mm bolt idea.

got my trans with 40k on it and 2 year warranty for $500. pays to have friends who run a Honda dealership's parts counter.
