Friends, How Do I Know When I Need To Change My Transmission Fluid? My Car Has 144k Miles On It Now And I Dont Know If The Earlier Owner Did A Tranny Fluid Change....what Indications Do I Look Out For?

 

just do it anyway whether it needs it or not because you dont know how well or not the previous user treated the car....by the way welcome to the forum

 

If you dont know, do it. Its worth it on our cars.

For the Hard shifting do you try some stuff for help hardshifting??

 

i think it is better for u to add little transmisson fluid , other than to change it. the transmission may start to slip. my mechanic said . its better to leave it and add if it needs some fluid.

 

I just make a complete flush transmission above 2 month Heyhey

I think you have this stuff for not very expensive like 10$. I find some similar product for me in my region and the range is to 8$ to 16$...

 

Stick with the Honda trans fluid from Honda DEALER (cheaper than at acura dealer and is the right stuff for our cars)
Do the 3 times changes full flush method to really clean out the system and have clean good fluid to cool and lubricate the transmission.
Always assume any used car needs every maitenance service

Also call Acura at 1-800-382-2238 x5 6am-5pm pacific

Give them your VIN numbers and they will be able to tell you any warranty repairs done to the car, any extended warrenties and more
Also register at acura.com ownership experience register vin number there too lots of good things on that site
