Timing Belt Tensioner '97 3.2TL
Timing Belt Tensioner '97 3.2TL
When removing the lower timing belt cover, I loosened one to many bolts and unattached the timing belt tensioner. Now that I am ready to install a new timing belt, I can't quite figure out how to attach the tensioner spring. The only available post I see is on the left hand side (viewed from front) of the water pump, but that would pull the tensioner in the wrong direction. Can someone help me out cause I'm feeling a little dumb right now.
I assume there are only the four parts - spring, tensioner, bolt, and washer. Did I lose something else?
Thanks in advance,

Ah, there is hope for me yet - I finally figured it out. The L shaped bracked on the rear of the tensioner is a lever which uses one hole as a pivot point (slid over a protrusion in the casting) and the second hole for the spring which also attaches to the water pump post mention above.
