stop moving!

Just curious, when the car is in gear and i let go off brake on the light..
does the car supposed to move? how fast? is there a way to minimize it?

Yes, automatic equipped cars have a creep speed. Its a little fast on our TL's. The Legend and Vigors had this issue as well. The 1st gen RL got reprogrammed transmission instructions that fixed this somewhat. In theory, that would mean 3.2 TL's could be altered.

yes, not fast, and dont let off the brake.

not really..
the reason i asked the question is because i am dealing with vibration at the stop light.. when the engine is cold.. it does it when its warm too but not too bad..

so, i though that my car was moving too much and was putting out too much pressure and that's the cause of the vibe..

i drove some automatics that didn't move at all.. or barely..
and i thought that maybe as cars gets older, it moves more..

Mine moves about 20mph after speeding for about 30mins, but usually it moves at about5 then climbs on to 10 and stabilizes at that speed, i think its basically due to the momentum it gains while rolling

most autos do this. how high does it idle while in park while the car is warm?
