So my TL is in the shop. Wednesday I was driving down the road (actually trying to keep up with this truck that thought he was a hard ass) doing about 60. While doing this my pedal fell all the way to the floor and I got jerked forward. My engine turned off. Luckily I was in a position to where I could pull into a parking lot. Me and my friend pushed it into a parking spot where it waited until yesterday to be brought to the shop. When I tried to start it again it cranked but then just wheezed and whined. They wont be able to look at it until Monday, so I'm without my TL for awhile.

 

^ that sucks!! did you see anything unusual? smoke, oil?

 

The only thing our of the ordinary besides that whole situation was the very strong smell of gasoline.

 

^ my metal fuel line got shredded up by something on time and spewed fuel everywhere. i had to custom make a new line and connect it with a compression fitting.. maybe a fuel pump or something? i have no idea

 

Valve lifters are bent. Guy said its gonna be $2100-$3000 to repair.

 

did he say how it happened???

 

He said I was probably driving it too rough while it was out of time.

 

For half the money, you can get a decent used engine put in.
