Exclamation Security Problems

I went out of town for a week and when I got back my secuirty system had been triggered. The car will not crnk even with the key in it. This has happened before when my battery went dead and I had to reset it on my CD player. Since then I removed the factory CD player. Is there a way to reset the security system or disable it without the CD player.

The security system to protect the CD/radio from theft is not directly connected to the vehicle security system, to my knowledge.

The 2.5TL Shop manual says that simply unlocking w/ the key will reset the security system. How was the alarm triggered? Hood, door, or trunk must be forced or starter bypassed to cause the alarm to set and diable the car.

good luck

Sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm system, the stock setup isnt like what you've described.
