Salvaging Overhead Midrange Speakers (Head Unit Replacement)

Hey guys.

I'm replacing the crappy stock head unit in my 96 2.5 TL and I realized that I may lose the use of my overhead midrange speakers. Now, I am electronically competent but I have never worked with speakers before so here is my question:

I need to know if it is possible, with a Pioneer head unit that will supply 50 watts per channel at 4 to 8 ohms, to connect the overhead speakers to the output for the door speakers. And if so, if it should be done in series or parallel.

Thanks for any and all help in advance.

I had a thread where I listed the part numbers needed and how to wire it up. Do a search for it, probably best to search for "Radio Shack Resistor".

Welcome to the boards.

~Cheers~
