Rear tire wear
Here's the problem: My drivers side rear tire is wearing it's outer rib excessively. The passengers side tire and front tire wear is normal.
Here's the right solution: The rear suspension system is worn and needs replacement. NOTE: The front suspension system was replaced last year because both front tires were scalloping the inner ribs every 10-15K miles and I could feel vibration in the steering wheel.
Here's the problem with the right solution: Labor and parts for rear suspension system replacement is estimated at $750-$1000. This is enough to pay for tire replacement every 4-6 months for the remaining life of the car. (I plan to retire the car when I reach 250K miles).
What are your experiences with rear suspension system problems on high mileage 3.2 TLs? Any suggestions? Note - the ride is still smooth and the car handles fine. The only problem is tire wear.

I have several high mileage acuras and hondas w/o suspension problems. Do you know what part/s are worn? There is a ball joint at the end of upper arm connecting to knuckle. If this were worn out, it might cause enough camber change to wear a tire. There is a toe adjustment mechanism. Have you checked the rear alignment?
You could probably buy entire used rear suspension for $100-$200 per wheel. Installation is matter of unbolting old and installing new.
good luck
