Manifold and EGR tube removal.
Manifold and EGR tube removal.
Hello fellow TL owners.
3.2TL with 330,000 miles.
Has anyone removed the intake manifold with the EGR tube still attached, after disconnecting the tube at the EGR end? The two tube bolts, at the manifold end, look almost impossible to get to. Looking at the rear of the engine, it looks like this should be possible, but I would like to find out for sure before I break the seal between the manifold and heads.
I am replacing the camshaft rear seals and would also like to clean out the EGR ports because I am tired of looking at the yellow malfunction lamp, which has been on since less than 180,000 miles. It never had an affect on performance, so I ignored the problem. Trouble is, I never know if a new fault occurs without regularly checking for computer codes.
Thanks.
