leak,CEL

hi new to the site here i enjoy it alot.

i have a 97 acura tl 25 and i love it. last year i got in a bad accident in a blizzard and crashed into a wall. know im starting my wheelwell gruadually falling off (part of car under front drivers side tire. its just hanging there now. basically i have to push it up every couple days so its not dragging on the ground and crap. however today i got out of my car to fix this normal problem and i notice a leak. it seems as something (no idea what) got disconnected and is leaking. this is again located under the wheelwell drievrs side front tire. i examined the liquid and i think its water so i think its my a/c but idk any adive would help.

Also, right before I took my car to get brakes/tune up/oil change. the check engine light went the next dayi didnt drive it and it rained and then my car didnt start. my car has a history of not starting up too well when it rains out. any ideas with that? however im not to worried i dont think it'll be a problem now since i got the tune up/ oil change.

when i got my car back today the CEL is still on. he said he couldn't communicate with the computer or something and he'll try it another day. any ideas on why this CEL is still on even after i got it fully serviced? input greatly appreciated thanks

Liquid Under Driver's Side Wheel Well
Most likely source is coolant from the lower radiator hose or radiator leak. Better check it out before summer get's hot or you'll be stranded somewhere. AC condensate drain is on pax side firewall at the feet postion. You may be due for timing belt replacement if this has never been done, and lower radiator hose could be easily replaced during this service. Are you DIY or shop service?

Starting Problem
Does starter fail to engage the engine (no engine turnover), loud clicking but no engine turn-over, or engine turns over fine w/ no start?

Check Engine Light
You can obtain DTC yourself by shorting the Service Check Connector (blue 2-wire connector clipped under dash beneath glove box) w/ a jumper wire, turn keyswitch to ON, and CEL will flash the code/s. Either short flashes for single digit codes, or long flash for 10's digit, short pause, and short flashes for unit's digit (F--ffff is DTC 14). Get code and help will follow.

The loose underbody dust shield may need some large diameter washers to get the bolts to clamp the shield in place. Wreck may have pulled the dust shield over th bolt heads enlarging the holes.

good luck

I missed a potential source of coolant leak, the reservoir is on driver's side and could be damaged and leaking, or overflowing.

good luck
