kind of a repost sorry... starter problem or ground???

when i get in my car in the morning and do the first start of the day, i turn my key and one of 2 things happens.... NOTHING (no clicking.... nothing!!!) or it rrrrr rrrrr rrrrr .... start!(i say it with the rrrrr's cause thats what it is.. hope it makes sense). when it starts with the "nothing" one i just let the key go back to acc and then turn again and it starts like its new! i once had a bad ground to the battery and the car wouldnt start but sometimes and i got a new connector and it worked fine. anyways... i got an appt. for an oil change with my local dealer tomarrow so i figured id just bring this up then. any feed back tho? what yalll think?

Bad battery connection is most likely. Clean connections carefully and secure clamping bolt tightly. Might fix your problem.

The Honda/Acura starters are pretty rugged, although the solenoids are a problem.

Perform a battery voltage check after car sits overnight. If it drops much below 12V, battery may be the problem.

good lukc

Yeah, might just be a bad connection on the ground side of the battery, that was my problem with VERY similar symptoms to yours

I had the exact same problem and replacing the starter made it go away completely. I went to an independent, reputable shop and it cost me about $300.
