I've had these same two problems for a while and hopefully my dad and I will be taking it to the dealership soon. The first is that my cruise control has not worked since we bought the car. The other (I have not seen anyone with this same problem) is every other time or so when I start the car, the ignition will lock the key in there after I turn it and the car won't start. All of the electrical stuff in the car will work but the engine won't. My short term (or rather until I get it fixed as it has been about 1/2 a year...) solution is jiggling the key until it comes out, sticking the key into the slot where the shifter is, and moving the shifter out of park and back; then it will work. I know that's probably not very good to be doing all the time but we've never gotten around to getting it fixed and I've had no problems thus far. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, it is NOT the steering wheel lock or whatever; there is definetly something wrong.

Its a bad ignition cylinder. Try putting some grease on the key first though.
