Fuel filter

Hello,
Needing advice on how to change the fuel filter on a 1998 Acura TL2.5. I know it's on the firewall but is there anything special I need to do before I change it?

Don't smoke near it and have rags handy to absorb the spilled gas.

~Cheers~

LoL thanks. Just trouble shooting something. I just got this car and it's supposed to have high octane gas but she ran cheap gas through it. I've been using b12 chemtool but still likes to sputter and die once it starts. Afterwords it runs great.

If anyone has any other ideas on how to clean out the fuel system that would be great.

My 2.5TL (son drives) has never had anything but regular and runs like a top. That's not the problem. ECU compensates just fine for regular. I get 25 mpg in town and maybe 27 on the road with a non-functioning torque converter lockup.

good luck
