Talking Drain Transmission fluid how many times?

I have a 1996 3.2tL with 185K miles. New owner! The transmission fluid looks dirty, and I want to change it! I don't want to flush it due to the high mileage, but I want to really clean it! I read the DIY on changing the fluid/screen, etc, but How many times should I drain and fill it? Do I have to wait between drains? List of part numbers/names! Thanks for all advice, links!

I think you'll be fine just changing the screen and doing a drain and fill once. You can follow up with another drain and fill at your next oil change.

If you buy a gaskets and filter kit from a parts store, the gaskets will be wrong. Buy from Acura.

I know I'm probably going to catch hell for saying this, but I'm not using atf z-1. I'm using redline D4 atf. I Love how much better it shifts. It's crisp, but not harsh. And it downshifts so much faster. And...there's much less whine in first gear. Oh, and the initial shift from P to D is much smoother in the morning.

Drain and fill every oil change (5K) for 3x. You should be good.
