I have a 96 Acura 3.2TL and whenever the driver door is open and I try to lock the door, the other doors lock besides the driver door. It attempts to lock but seems like it gets stuck. This happens when I use the remote and the switch on the door. But when the door is close the the driver door locks fine. This also causes my car to stay unlock when I ever I use the remote start.

 

Why would you want to lock an open door? This action is deliberate to prevent locking keys in the car.

Yea, I read that in another thread, but the problem is when I use my remote starter my doors unlock and stays unlocked...I don't understand why it unlocks my door in the first place.

 

lol cant you go back out an re lock em if its unlocking em when remote start? Or does it just straight up not let you lock it?

 

Its a Honda/Acura thing. The only way to lock the driver door when open is to hold the handle in the open position when locking. It will lock fine when the door is closed.
