Unhappy Crankshaft Pully

Can anyone tell me which way the bolt on the crankshaft pulley of a 1998 TL comes off clockwise or counter clock wise?

counterclockwise, just like how any normal bolt comes off.

If you're trying to remove, it can be a challenge. A good air impact will sometimes work. Or a long breaker bar + cheater pipe w/ restraint tool to hold the engine from turning.

good luck

I never used an air impact but always wondered how can one fit that in such a tight space? Do you have to remove the radiator?

I also have an Accord and momentarily forgot what I was respondiing about.

Yes, you would have to remove the radiator to bring an air impact into play. I've always used retraint tool on one breaker bar and deep impact socket on the other breaker bar on the 2.5TL.

on 3.2s, just put a socket into the bolt and rest a breaker bar pointing to the left side of the engine and give the starter a quick crank (about 1 sec only). it might work on 2.5s too, use your brain on it.
