I bought this 1998 acura 3.2 TL in running condition. Ran fine in fact. 2 days later...problems.
First, the car had sat for 5 months or so before I bought it.
When I was driving it, it developed some severe hesitation and lots of power loss. Would die at idle occasionally. Had a litany of codes, many were codes for cyl misfires. Pulled a couple plugs and they were full of oil. So i ordered new iridium tip ngk plugs, all new coils and replaced the old leaky valve cover gaskets and spark plug gaskets...pain in the @$$. So i get it all back together and now (car has sat again for 6 more months...life has been busy) and get some fresh 93 oct fuel and dump a can of seafoam in the tank and am still getting massive hesistation, low low power and still dies sometimes. Check engine light is flashing and throwing codes for ALL cyl misfires. What am I missing here? All ignition compenents are brand new...not ebay chinese garbage either ...beck arnley coils and ngk iridium plugs and felpro gaskets. Any ideas???

 

Oh forgot to add that 6 months ago i replaced a faulty 02 sensor and that took care of that code. Hasnt reappeared

 

I guess you could replace the fuel filter, but who knows what the problem is?

 

misfires could be air, spark or fuel related..

check your injectors?
