Breaking in engine

Breaking in engine

Ok well i just got my car back from the mechanic after blowing my head gaskets so my mechanic rebuilt my head changed timing belt and did all the normal service such as sparkplugs, belts, ect should i do anything speacial to break in the the new parts or should i just drive it normal ur help will be appreaciated so thnks in advance.

just drive it normal... no 'break-in' required...

oh ok thanks just wanted to make sure that i dont hurt my engine again lol cause it wasnt cheap

I smash on it a bit to get the new parts used to being smashed on. Learned that from a race bike builder.

for the most part everything is already broken in OP, about the biggest thing i see that might have change, and need to be re-broken in are the valves, if they happen to do those also, BUT that is what lapping the valves is for though


about the only thing i would say is take it easy at first to make sure everything was assembled correctly and such (and cooloing system is fully bleed of all air, after a couple of heat cycles), but other then that FLOG the SHIT out of it
