Brake Lamp turned on... wtf

so having not driven the TL for about 3 weeks, its usually parked on my driveway with a cover over it. I decided to open it up and give it a wash. i get in the car and start it. I see the brake lamp on. Well, thats odd, I wonder whats wrong. I shifted into reverse and moved the car a bit, the brakes still work. I haven't driven it anymore, so i dunno if it pulls to the side or not. i did noticed that when i pressed the brake pedal, there was a clicking in the center console where the shifter was, prolly just the switch to allow you to shift out of park. I checked the brake fluid level, which was fine, but the fluid was black. I need to get around to getting rid of the old fluid. Other than that, i don't see why something was wrong. All the brake lights in the back work. Maybe the rotors are a little rusty from sitting outside in the rain? Any ideas? TIA

I have the exact same issue with the brake lamp and noise from behind the radio. Did replacing the lights fix all this?

The bulb might be on its way out.

The noise you hear is unrelated to the brake light warning appearing, and is normal.
