Bank 1 Sensor 1

First
NEVER remove the POS battery cable before the NEG-
You turn yourself into the shortest path of least resistance to Ground--thats a reallllly bad thing!!!!
You MUST remove the negative cable from the battery in order to disconnect the energy to the system- which forces a reset of the ECU- Engine Control Unit, which makes the system run a self check and should cancel the light and make the car run better.
It can take several days of driving for the car to relearn things

ANY car with Negative ground, which would be any car made in the last 40 years
Some old British cars used to be pos ground, but even they came to their senses, and the owners go back now and change all the connections to make it the much safer NEG ground type

Have you done the neg cable method yet?
Or pull the CLOCK fuse in passenger side footwell- thats the secret power for the ECU
that clears everything and car relearns whats going on now
If you had a bad o2 sensor- it may have loaded up the plugs-
Seafoam~~~ to the rescue

This is what I have found searching the net.
How did know that this code means an O2 sensor problem?

Code P0135 indicates a wiring or connector problem, or an open or short in the heating element of the O2 sensor. If the problem was not resolved by replacing the sensor the wiring or connector have a fault (dirt/oil on connector can cause a poor connection). Other possibility (less likely) is the replacement sensor was faulty.
