Audio head unit and power plug not having power supply
Hi all,
When I was using a car vacuum using the power plug, it suddenly went of
and from then, there is no power coming to the head unit and also to the plug. But all other things are working fine. Could someone help me which part would have gone.
Rgds,

You might have blown a fuse. Check all fuses that are related to the radio/accessories etc. in fuse box under hood or lower driverside kick panel.

Dash lights should also be out or there is a problem w/ the power outlet in the car or wiring. Fuse is in the underdash fuse box (No 11, 10A on my 97 2.5TL diagram). There is also a relay (under-dash fuse box) that could be damaged.
Vacuum cleaner may be too much load for the power plug. Probably max continous load is 60-70 watts or 6-7 amps draw.
good luck

That's the usual suspect, however, there's another one that can be blown from a reverse bulb, making your instrument cluster not light up. If that happens to you, that fuse is in the in-car fuse box, and it's a 10A.
