My girl's 97 acura tl 2.5 remote for the factory alarm doesnt work no more. i tryed the battery but it doesnt seem to be it. But when i lock the door with my hand and open it with the key sometimes the alarm comes on and sometime it doesnt. Any one with this problem? thanks

 

Most likely explanation would be the electrical switch in the driver's door lock is not sending a signal to the security system that key was used to unlock. When door is sensed open w/ no key switch signal, the alarm is turned on. Fix is a new door switch assy. This is just my diagnosis.

An Acura shop manual w/ diagnosis flow charts, component locations, and wiring diagrams is essential to be sure.
