Acceleration
I suspect one of the following things are the culprit:
1) After traveling for 0.8 miles the "great force" movement comes from you overcoming the gravitational pull of your garage floor.
2) By 0.8 mile mark your TL's warp drive (VTEC) warms up and "great force" movement happens.
3) You drive up a very steep hill for the first 0.8 miles of your journey, this has detrimental effect on acceleration.
