I usually have to slam it in a gear, P, R, N, D4 etc.. for it to register it's in gear. I asked a few people about it and they said it's the Saftey Netural Switch, if so where would it be located and how to fix it. Please help! Thanks

 

are you saying you cant shift while start up?..if so its your break switch located on your break pedal. for saftey switch located on you shift knob theres an key hole.
