I was just given a 98 tl the alarm went off the first time I locked the doors now the car won't start what should I do

 

if the alarm is activated, it will kill the power to the starter... it's essentially a kill switch on the ignition... you need to unlock the door with the key to disable the OEM alarm which will disable the kill switch...

 

I've done this with the key and it still won't start
