Smile Pics For The First Time

Hey guys, posted before a while back, never posted pics but I decided to go ahead and do so and hopefully get some feedback. Just washed it, hope I did a good job. I plan on doing a lot of things to my car once I graduate high school (in June). A little info about my car, my parents bought it for $5,000 with about 85k miles. Some front bumper scrapes from first owner. I've been driving the car for 1.5 yrs now. Roughly 107k miles on it now. Everything is stock besides the radio and tint. The hood and roof has been chipping, so I thought I'd show some pics of that too.. first thing I'm doing is getting it painted. But I couldn't have had a better first car . And thanks for the good posts guys!

oh! definitely get that paint fixed asap. also, unless cops are really strict with the tint laws where you live, think about getting the front windows tinted too. i know some states you're not allowed to have any tint in the front but it just looks half done. in WI, our laws are 50%F/35%R, and i have 20% all around and i've never been stopped.

not sure what your plans are with the car but most people around here do the clear corners first. after that, maybe inspire tails, debadge, wheels, audio, etc...there's no end.

I live in Sunny socal so the front tint doesn't look tinted at the moment lol. But I did get all the windows tinted.. it was just a very sunny day today. Yes, I definitely want to get the paint fixed first, then clear corners are next. i think the lights are on the end of the list cuz i dont mind having inspire or not. wheels would be my next big mod after paint.

Yes it is. My dad is retired, so as long as I'm a full time student, I get that privelege until I'm 23.

Haha cool, yours is definitely nicer than mine because of the spots on mine. Question for all.. I was recently hit by a truck and the guy paid for my damage, I was really pleased with the guy he recommended and he said they would be able to paint the rest of my car for $1500, since I don't need my 2 right side doors painted. Is this a good deal?

$1500 sounds like a decent paintjob, although anything over $1000 is decent.

Ok good, I plan on getting a new car within 2 years. While keeping the TL, but I'd most likely be handing it back to my dad (since my mom doesnt drive) since he drives a 01 civic and recently got rear ended by a guy with no insurance or liscence.

Not to bag on you at all, so please don't take this the wrong way. I thought that all TLs had moonroofs, especially the more expensive 3.2s. Is yours a 96 or something?

For a first car at the age of 17 thats pretty good, depending on what you do to or with it your friends and pretty much everyone else around you will like it too...good luck on your modifications if you do plan on doing so, fortunately there are alot of examples to choose from by looking at everyone elses tl...

Just a bit of an update with my car. Yesterday, one of my moms friends was in a rush to drop something off to us and hit my rear bumper and left a fat dent in it.. I went back to the place that did body work on my car before and got a quote for $350 (brought down from 460) so my rear bumper would be fresh and my right side doors are fresh from previous work. He gave me a quote of $750 for my hood, front bumper, and roof (the parts that REALLY need work) so im going to take that offer and then later on once I find a new job I'll save to get my side repainted and my truck.

I just wanted to fix my paint first but now I'm hoping for some mods soon

what a difference! looks great

how much did that set you back? i'm actually in need of a couple touch up spots, not to the extent you did but i could definitely benefit from at least some work.

Thanks for the comments guys. I haven't been able to respond cuz I just started college . And working so I can pay off the paint job lol. It set me back About $750. One of my moms friends hit my rear bumper before I got the paint and so they paid for my rear bumper to be fixed =]. That cost them around 400
