What? is that chrome underneath black paint

What? is that chrome underneath black paint

if you know the side rear windows it cover in black paint..so im looking at it cuz it peeling and it was annoying so i decided to grab some paint stripper to remove the black and what did i found chrome.. soo i strip it both sides and came pretty str8. its looks alright here a pic.

Not bad. I had someone scratch mine last year and I noticed it underneath, too. I actually covered it up instead of taking it off. Take a day shot if you can, I might just strip the black rubber for the hell of it.

Yeah I actually doing the same thing, but in hopes of continuing the arc across both windows I started removing the rubber that is thicker, and that is another job in itself. I also saw that in between the two windows is a small chrome strip also covered in rubber, but both of these sections are extremely hard to remove.

Yeah the rubber that is above the windows can be removed to reveal chrome, but you have to use a lot of paint remover and then carefully scrape it off with a knife, but unless you have a better method I don't suggest it.
