upgrade. . .

hey guys, so i got around 300-500 to spend on some stuff. i was going to throw in some iridium plugs and wires, flush trans, seafoam and replace oil, i had my valves adjusted yesterday, and ive been kinda itching to do that oil catch can mod. nothing too great, but hopes are it will increase engine life and control residues. anyone done this on the 2.5? i was going to route it from a new pcv valve to the filter back up to the intake manifold? thats it right..thanks!

Don't flush the tranny, just do a drain and fill. Grab a K&N drop-in filter and you'll see a difference immediately.

well i need to now.. it was shifting hard so i did a drain and fill a couple daysago. but i almost completely drained it. (only bought 3 quarts) so i had to get more, but they didnt have the same kind. so i had to compare ingredients and just wing it. i am going to redrain and fill with the proper honda stuff. and really? just a K&N in the stock air box helps? thanks for your input guys.

I would stay away from flushing the tranny...do a few drain and fills over a flush. I've heard some guys couldn't even drive after a flush.

I had a K&N in the old TL, it did make a diff.

just to clarify.. im not FLUSHING.. i was draining with car tilted sleeply up in the front and shifted through the gears, yielding 6 qts of transmission fluid. then filled. i will do again with the right kind of fluid when i get a chance. FYI pcv routed oil/ vapor separator made huge difference in cars performance! and it just runs alot better. 100 miles = 2 drops of oil for me.. i wasnt expecting any short term improvements.

yesterday, i changed all 5 fouled spark plugs!! they were almost new platinum 4+ wtf is with that. put in some iridium, and a short ram air intake.. what a difference! clear bumper lights and maybe some custom exhaust work are next. just figuring out my manifold 1st.
