Depends, how bad is the clear coat. With the newer paint/clear coat mixes you can't (and havnt been able too for a decade) simply rub something on your car and make it go away unfortunately. For example, on my 85 honda interceptor, and first car, a old super beetle, I could rub No. 8 rubbing compund and scratches, nicks, stains, would be gone, limited only be how much you wanted to thin your paint out.

Now all this new **** advertises it will do this or that. But if sap (for example my wifes rodeo) or other acidic compounds eat through your clearcoat and discolor your paint, you are ****ed. In here case, she had sap damage all over her car, not noticable except in sunlight and only if you knew it was there. I heard bout this from others and tried it.

Turtle wax color matching wax w/ color matching stick. Use the stick to fill in areas where the clear coat has been eaten away. It works, but you have to wax 3-4 times a year to keep it looking good. Anyway I tried 5-6 of those compounds made for clear coats and all it did was wear out my wallet

I just bought another full order of Zaino and let me tell you, it is the best thing that money can buy. It's not a wax, in fact its a polymer that really brings out the shine on your car. And the more coats you apply, the better it looks. They even have something for the swirl marks. Many people have said that Zaino takes so long because you have to wait 30 min to an hour for the stuff to dry. But now, they have an additive called ZFX which speeds up the curing process. The car wash maintains the shine and it really does wonders. I applied it for the first time last year on my WDP '98 3.2TL, and after that I was a believer. I also helped a buddy apply it to his black '01 Audi S4 and the finish looked so amazing, better than new! Try Zaino and you won't be disappointed.

I ordered online last week and I got it on Monday. Here is the online site: http://www.zainostore.com Once you get in, the Username is Z-2. The password is Zaino. Get in there and order. If you're worried it's too complicated, it's not. In fact, it's easier than regular wax. It's just the prepping of the surface that is time consuming. Once you do it, you will never go back. I have cleared out my whole day tomorrow just to dedicate to this. I'll take some pics and let you know how it turned out!!

It doesn't take the whole day, but probably a good 4-6 hours if you want to do it right. And I'm talking the exterior and interior. You have to do a full detail job at least once a year if you want to keep it nice. And after the full detail job, maintaining it is a breeze. If you only do the exterior, it shouldn't take you more than a couple hours.

Actually, it will take that long if you want to put multiple coats. According to the website, you want to put multiple coats of the Z-5 to remove swirl marks and enhance the clarity. Then when you're happy with that, you want to put multiple coats of Z-2. The reason it takes so long is that Zaino needs about 30 min to cure and dry. Go on the website: http://www.zainobros.com and see what a job multiple coats does. When you see what an amazing job it does, you'll be convinced too.

hey, BASISON do you have a pic of your ride? I bought the type S rims but I hve not put them on yet because I have the Eibach prokit and I am trying not to get screwed by the instalation. Which everyone seems to want to charge like a $100 more than I actually paid for the dam springs. Also I actaully ended up using the Mcguires 3 step wax and polish and the day I did it the car looked like a freaking black mirror but with all this dam rain I have not had much of a chance to show it off. The thing that sucked though was that I did not get the bead up action so maybe I'll end up using Zaino anyway.

The best way to buy car care products is to search for a detail supplier. Someone that sells the products to professional detailers. You can get stuff that is better than the name brand products and pick up bigger sizes at cheaper prices.

Plus you can ask them questions and pick some pro equipment.
